Hi, just asking for peoples view on Marketstone buff multi as our contractor has suggested it for our rear patio, it seems ok but I am unsure about its thickness, I believe its 20mm but would that be suitable for non vechicle use?

Thanks

20mm-35mm is ok but you need to check what bedding is going to be used and what dept. For a patio your looking at 35mm-50mm layer with a 10:1 sand/cement mix. Is this a new patio your laying onto a grassed or muck area?

Marketstone is the mid-price range of Indian stone from Stonemarket. It's not their A-rated material, but it's still a damn sight better than much of the 10-12 quid per metre sh...stuff sold on eBay.

It's calibrated at 22m (from memory) so is fine for foot traffic but any vehicular use would need to be laid onto a full concrete bed.

Yeh I have used it a few times, it comes in 5 sizes. I last used it about 3 years ago and it wasnt calibrated then. The only problem or thing to consider is the variation in colour, it was quite varied with some deep plum colours and light grey, fine if you like that amount of variation, but alot of people dont.
