I have been asked to do a small turning circle in somebodys yard and it needs to last so 150mm base and 50mm thick slabs, Correct?
Any ideas on a price on them?

There is so much difference in material price's in different area's you need to get prices from local merchants and go from there
are you gonna lay them on concrete bed? as this will be a stronger option for traffic,or you could use the 400mm modular paving as used in streets and pavements MSH

prices vary up and down the UK so for me to quote you a price could be a lot lower than your local builders merchants
phone a few builders merchants in your area, the price of materials depends on how much money your spending per month with most merchants, the more you spend the bigger the discount you can argue over

I wouldn't be using flags in a turning circle. It's have to be blocks for me, but if the client insists on flags, then I'd go for the F65s or possibly G60s. I don't want vehicles doing 3-point turns on 50mm flags

Me being stupid maybe but f65's and g60's? sounds like code to me.
the guy is adamant on flags over block as ''thats what he wants'' might try and sub it out 2 somebody else and tack on say £50

thats a negative way of looking at work will
concrete slabs are not recommended under vehicular access,it can be done but the spec has to increase as the gaffer has stated
when cars etc. turn it puts increased point loading onto slabs and can cause them to break
block paving will be a better job ,but if he insists on slabs then it has to be the whoppers the boss mentioned on a minimum 100mm c15 concrete (6:1)

It is code - the code used in the British Standard to define flag sizes, as explained on the concrete flags page of the main website

you want to lay the slabs on a bed of properley mixed screed ,i.e sand and cement with a touch a water .dont put water in mixer first or buy screed from a mortar supplier .before all that though you want to put at least a 4 inch bed of concrete down and whacker it .thats the method we use in the west end of london and dont get any problems .masses of people and cars ,taxis ,wagons etc parking on pavement . i must say though we only lay marshalls york and bbs york though .sorry for it being a bit mumbo jumbo in order.
