I've layed an area of Polished Sandstone paving which is now ready to point, if it ever dries up !!!

Should I point the paving slabs first, then 2 x coats of sealer or seal slabs, point area and seal area once after pointed ???

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

Point it asap but you cannot seal it until late spring at the least. The sealant will discolour and look like efflourence if it isn't warm and dry enough. Polished flags look good with a slurry pointing either resin or cement based. This can be done in wet weather.

OP is from the channel islands so i expect its going to be wet quite a bit right now
As pable correctly states ,way too early for sealing, although i wouldn't slurry point sandstone flags
www.easipoint.co.uk do a nice range of polymer mortars that are very strong

as I recall MY mate worked in jersey a few years back and everything was blockwork rendered with a strong cement mix due to the corrosive nature of the sea air
or you could go for romex/gftk but you should speak to their technical help people due to your location
