Hey chaps,

I'm a couple of days away from finishing laying my slate patio, not jointed yet, let alone surface sealed. Blimmin oil delivery arrived today while I was out and the very kind delivery person has slopped oil on about 6 flags.

I've read up on the mopping up, detergent and elbow grease etc, anything else I should consider for this type of oil, will attempt operation cleanup when I get home tonight.

Thanks

Trevor

Refer the matter back to the oil delivery company.

Sounds like an insurance job.

Have to agree with Dave throw it back at the delivery company, it is something that can be cleaned but why should you?

A valid point to this situation, the saga has a mysterious happy ending though. I got home and no trace on the slabs, I can only assume that the oil sitting on top of the moisture from the frost last night has meant it has evaporated before the water underneath?

I did ask the missus if it was water and not oil but she swears she saw the oil drop from the nozzle on the hose.

Lesson here for me is to get the job finished and sealed before the next delivery.
