Hi Everyone,
I have to drop my exisiting patio area 6 " from around the back off my house.
There is only one grid which is at the opposite end to the patio door.
The patio area seperates a lawn from the house, so by dropping the patio area 6" I am going to have to build a small retaing wall in front of the lawn.
My question is about run off areas.
Do I try and create slopes so that the water from the patio door runs along the front of the extension, around the corner and down the grid or do I insert drilled drainage channels so that the run off areas are not far.
Also, do I have to make sure the water runs away from the retaining wall. And should I put in a drainage hole or two in the retaining wall for the lawn water?
If I'm not making myself clear, I'll answer any questions you have.
Please help - Thank you.
