Hi,

We're just in the process of selecting paving slabs for the rear garden and I think we've settled on Indian sandstone mainly due to the cost as it seems to be quite a bit cheaper than other natural stone. The other option is reclaimed yorkstone but haven't yet been able to find any suppliers.

I just wanted to know if there are different qualities of sandstone as we have been quoted anywhere between £17 to £40 per sqm. I know that the price increases for smooth surfaced sandstone so I'm talking about the bog standard riven sandstone.

Also, does anyone know of any reasonable stone merchants in west London that sell either sandstone or reclaimed yorkstones?

Many thanks in advance!

somewhere about £20 per metre +/- 20% is about right for bog standard sandstone.

Hi Mike the difference can be huge when you see one you like let us know the name and supplier and someone on here should be good enough to let you know what it's like standard and cost wise.
