Laid some Dalestone grey sandstone paving (looks very nice, thank you) and then tarmac-ed upto the edge. Tarmac contractor avoided standing on paving after standing on tarmac. Me, not being used to tarmac, stood on tarmac and then on paving, leaving three size 12 black bitumen boot prints on grey paving (looks a bit like Fossil Mint...).
Tried hot soapy water, nylon brush and elbow grease but little effect.
Having read section on how to remove stains, seems like paint stripper is the answer - it shouldn't be used on tarmac as it melts the binder, which is exactly what I want.
Can anyone advise further? Obviously will test on back of another slab first to check for discolouration, etc., just wondered if anyone had practical experience of same problem.
Thanks!
