Hi,
We recently laid a patio with Bradstone indian Sandstone. Then started to point with Geofix (never used this product before). Whilst brushing it in we noticed that the residue was staining the surface of the paving. It has now been down 24 hrs and it is still stained. I rang the manufacturer and they said that this can happen depending on the porosity of the stone and that it should disappear after a couple of days. I'm not convinced though, as the marks are very engrained. Has anyone had a similar experience? Can i really expect the problem to improve over time?

cheers

It is rubbish, but the sheen left after sweeping it in does indeed disappear after a few days. Don't worry you'll be pulling it out in a few months to re-do it with something decent.

Great, that's a relief. Only did about 2 square metre area luckly. So will be pulling it out. What is the best tool to get it out with? A pointing iron perhaps?

thanks again.

Anything! A screwdriver, spoon, stiff brush! Getting it out's not the problem, it's trying to keep it in!!
