Brick acid is no use what so ever,it is only to clean mortar splashes from brickwork,
You need to find out what type off sealer it is and get the solvet for it, good chance it is a zylene based product, but without knowing you can make a mess
might have to steam clean it off our resident pressure washing man R&A Pressure Washing will be along soon and point you in the right direction MSH

Technical man from Lithofin told me that Lithofin Stain Away is designed to strip away sealent - I don't know if it works as I haven't tried it yet, and of course I don't know if it works on anything other than Lithofin sealent. Worth a go perhaps. See link...

Deano,
No more brick acid near the sandstone for a start, you could do some serious damage.
Lithofin stain away will lift the sealer as you say it is PIC seal plus a little heat to wash. It will be very messy, expensive and the chemicals in Stain Away are not very nice, so if you do use this yourself PLEASE read the MSDS sheets and wear proper PPE as there is evidence that they are cancer forming.
This one might be worth getting a pro in for with the right kit as I said it will be very messy and time consuming. Let me know if I can help as I have a data-base that covers most of the UK and could give you some options of who to use.
