HI
Can anybody help? I have a client that has a tarmac drive that he doesn't like the look of. He is keen to have a gravel drive, but it seems a shame to rip up a perfectly good surface. I have seen in the past gravel laid over tarmac, does anybody have any experience of this? The gravel drive that I have seen appears to have been laid on wet tarmac.
Regards Alan

how about resin bonded gravel
its a lot less messy than gravel and looks the same
however you dont get that nice scrunchy sound as you walk up the drive

I think Ronacrete make some resins that make it possible to lay gravel over tarmac....Is Simeon still about?

Hi, yes, I'm here. Thanks Mrs Lady for the recommendation.

There are some good pages on this web site, also have a look at our site...

www.ronacrete.co.uk
Products
Flooring

Resin
then click on Ronadeck Fast Grip for Landscaping

However it will only work if the tarmac is good quality. If it's weak, soft, crumbling, too much Pen oil, cracked, then the Fast Grip istelf will fail. And we don't like failures. And it's very difficult to know if the tarmac is good or bad - unless you laid it yourselves?

If you want to know more give us a call - 01279 638 700.

Good luck.
