Hi Guys,

Thanks for all the help over the summer when I was laying my patio. I used the Rompox drain and it was so easy.

However, I now have a problem. Due to all the rain over the last few months, the rompox has started to go green!!! As far as I can tell it is like a layer of moss on the top of it as the grout as the grout always appears to be wet.

Any suggestions for cleaning this? I have looked at the section on cleaning, bleach and Jeyes fluid are suggested, but are they ok on rompox and Indian sandstone. Would lobe to hear suggestions before I try cleaning it.

bleach and jet wash worked a treat on mine (R and A did it)
came up like new,although after 9 moths it is looking a bit green again

All jointing, whatever its composition, will discolour over time. One of the benefits of the good quality polymerics, in which I would include Romex products, is that they can withstand a blast from the jet washer, which will return them to a condition of 'as good as new', or near as dammit!

The same is true for good quality cement mortar joints, although there is some additional discolouration with cement mortars due to the ongoing chemical reaction between cement and moisture. Weak mortar joints, whether they be resin or cement based, will be destroyed by jet washing.
