Cementone wide jointing compound

hello everyone,

installing 140 m2 indian stone paving for a builder and my local builders merchant when i requested getting some romex is trying to push this onto me.

cementone wide jointing compound

has anyone used it and know anything about it or shall i just source the romex directly.

That's the jollop that used to be Resiblock WJC and is better than geofix (but then: what isn't?) but not in the same league as the epoxy products from Romex and GftK.

While it would be OK for a patio, it isn't able to resist the blast of a power washer, and it's not good in narrow and/or shallow joints. Also prone to discolouration, IME.

Stick with what is proven to be good, Romex. Over 140 metres, it isn't worth the risk, is it?

true i was always sold on the romex and the cementone stuff works outs about the same on costs, just if can help a local independent yard out then we will put not for an inferior product.

does anyone know a supplier or source for romex products around south manchester area?

incase anyone wanted to see i had a quick play in google sketchup and threw this together. i could not get the flag/slab colour right as they should be golden brown. but the client loved it anyway, and its a free piece of software and really easy to use.

In south Manchestoh? I think Romex Ray was hoping to get it in at Benchmark, but I'm not sure if he ever did.

Their main depot is in Horwich, so if you call Ray on 07872 824010 he'll be able to sort you out.

spoke to rompox ray, who was on holiday at the time and he put me in touch with Irvin at Bannister Hall in preston and just ordered 10 tubs of rompox easy and the sand to mix it with. should be arriving on site on monday.

i'm interested to see how it performs as its working out at Â£3.5 a metre to point with carriage and vat on 120 metres.
