More questions - Design of patio

I'm back again.
I mentioned earlier that I was going to use F28 size slabs for my garden patio, but having had a close look at them, I have decided not buy them. THe weather has turned bad and I have held off making a move to complete this job, but at this stage I will be usng textured, chamfered slabs size B50 or possbly F40. My question relates to the choice of size and a possible problem due to the L shape required. My patio will be laid along a concreate path which runs around my house. At the corner I have noticed that the path is not 90 degrees but possible about 87 degress. I had planned to lay the slabs along the line of the path at the back of my house which is the biggest side of the L and just then keep them in line around the corner of the L. If I do this the gap between the slab and the path will increase as I move along. I assume I will have to cut some slabs to get around this problem and not lay the corner slab at the point of the corner edge of the path. ( I hope you can understand this, it would be easier to visually represent the problem). Also if I go with the Big Slabs (B50) should I lay them in even lines or should I mix them, ie horizontal, vertical ect..

Use staggered jointing and then, if necessary, cut at an angle on the corner to re-align the flags to suit the arms of the L
