Hi Tony,
awesome site. Can't believe how much info there is here. Anyway, my problem is that I have a Victorian terraced house with a front path made of 6 inch tiles (red and black) maybe an inch thick. They are loose and wobbly and need fixing. Currently they seem to be on compacted earth, with maybe a concrete base as well - can't tell with digging.
So, I was planning on laying onto a fresh concrete base then using an exterior-grade tile adhesive, but a friend suggested laying them on compacted sharp sand. Would either way work, or is there a better way?
Cheers,
Geoff
