Hi, we've recently moved into our house and have inherited a large patio which, for some unfathomable reason, the previous owners chose to construct from pink and yellow concrete slabs (I know!).

We're looking for a cost effective medium-term solution to this eye sore (long term the house will be extended so the patio will be removed) so thought it might be worth painting the slabs to give a less offensive finish!

Has anyone had success in painting concrete slabs and, if so, can you give any advice?

Thanks.

if you are going to extend shortly then just live with it till then. thats the most cost effective way. in a few weeks you wont notice it.

Unless you use an industrial floor paint, you're wasting your time.

And a good quality floor paint properly applied to a prepared surface would cost more than replacement flags from one of the DIY sheds.
