I have recently pointed some grey Riven Flags and pointed them them in with cement dye. I used FEBTONE.
But I fear the mixture might of been too wet and the weather too hot, the dye has stained the edges of the riven stone. It does not look that great.
Can anyone suggest a way I can clean the stone to get rid of some of the "smudges" on the flags.
Hopefully not a product and and or method that will discolour or ruin the flags.
Thanks in advance for suggestions.
Kind Regards
Roger

Little to nothing cane be done I am afraid. Dye is an oxide and becomes part of the sandstone and cement.Roger Dell'Erba wrote:I have recently pointed some grey Riven Flags and pointed them them in with cement dye. I used FEBTONE.

It may even fade over time.???
You will have to live with it and keep the mixture dryer.
