Hi

Have used your site for setting out the new patio, and am now thinking of changing the front drive. Have currently got a grassed area to the front with a hedge. Dimensions are about 22ft by 21ft. We have 2 cars and they should fit on OK.

Am in the process of getting planning permission for the drive and the coucil have quoted about £600 inc vat to lower the pavement. Removing the hedge shouldnt be too much of a problem.

My question is about the actual new surface. Currently I have a smalled grassed area that is pretty fully of dandelions, but not too bad. The surface is fairly level, but has a few dips and peaks. I have thought of gravelling the area and putting in slabs to drive on, but recently heard about grass paving. This would be ideal for us as we live in quite a green area (!) and with a child on the way, a lawn would be nice! I've looked around a few places but can't find prices. Any ideas of rough prices for the job? I'm happy to install it myself so levelling is fine and drainage should be OK as the lawn slopes to the pavement away from the house so thats OK too. Have looked at Netlon and Tenax (local too!) and these are the sorts of things I think I need.

Any suggestions would be really appreciated, especially estimated pricing.

Thanks for any help in advance!
Gaz
