Hi all. At the end of last summer I was painting the garden fence and accidentally knocked the tin of fence paint over the patio. I cleaned it up immediately but it has left a stain over about 20 slabs. Apart from relaying new slabs, can anyone suggest a cleaner; I’ve tried bleach, Patio cleaner and even Cillit Bang. I was wondering, can you paint paving slabs. I have about 50 slabs, pink & yellow. Thanks for any help

It might just be possible to clean the remaining stain using Nitromors or similar. As with all cleaners, you should test a small, discreet area first before daubing the gel all over the rest of the affected flags.

There are specialist "paints" for concrete paving but the colour range is bloody awful and the cost is often greater than the cost of new flags. Off the top of me head, I can't recall the product name, but I do recall tracking them down for some arty-farty designer woman who was determined to have fuchsia pink paving around her latest creation. From memory, the cost worked out at 33 quid per square metre to do two coats, and the finished result was truly awful.
