I want to make a small ramp at the entrance to a garage with a concrete slab floor. The old concrete ramp is cracked and damaged. The floor slab is about 75mm above the driveway ground level. How do I go about this?

remove old ramp
make shutter 45-600 mm out from the garage and the width of the door place this in position and hold in place with lamp irons
make sure you have at least 150 of concrete beneath finished level, this may involve dogging some more out.
then using a fairly stiff concrete fill the void ,building your slope in as you go
once its all in screed off of your shutter then let it go off a bit.
trowel it up smooth with a square finishing trowe, then use a soft hair brush to brush it parallel to the door.
finally trowel 100m smooth around the edges of the shutter
dont let rain get on it and no cats or kids

cheers LLL :)

Bit worried that you advise extra dogging though Tony. ;)

yes, a Freudian slip no doubt, but cats are a nuisance with wet concrete ,they can smell it from miles away
