My client wants a random layout with traditional feel to the patio. They have found imported sandstone at a cost of around £20 M2 ... the stone doesn’t come in modular BS paving sizes and I have explained the gap’s will vary and need a lot of tweaking or balancing as explained in the main site. They are considering granite but don’t want to distract from the traditional surrounding of the house any recommendations would be most appreciated and Pic’s if possible...
p.s. would need delivery to Swansea South Wales

If you want a perfectly even pointing gap go for either 'reconstituted stone' or sawn natural slabs.

Indian Sandstone is available as sawn from some suppliers but it is more expensive at (generally) around £26-£30/m2 and is therefore comparable with slate. Granite is usually a little more expensive again (depending on supplier, thickness, quality) etc.

My suggestion would be to get some brochures from your local bm and get your client to pick out the one they like best.
