Hi,

We are introducing new concrete ground bearing slab in the basement. I was wonder if you have any suggestions how to form a waterproofing detail at the junction with the party wall.
My first idea was to introduce 20mm compressible joint, DPM membrane (1200g) would be dressed up in existing brick wall approx. 50mm plus volclay rx waterstop to the centre of the slab in the joint. Unfortunately I have found in volclay spec. that waterstop would not work in the joint. Have you got any thoughts how to waterproof this compressible joint.

can you recommend any manufacturer so i can check the system?

i have spoken to volclay and they mentioned something about flexcell, have you used this before?

or maybe just seal with bentonite the DPM/waterproof membrane to the wall?

thanks for info

Sorry gave you wrong spelling its hydrotite typecjo728-3k
maybe you could incorporate a toggle joint ( trapezoidal)
to help and place strip in there.
