I have almost completed my frist patio using riven slabs (600x600 and 300x600) which I have laid on a 50mm thick sand/cement bed (8:1 mix), but am still undecided regarding the jointing.
I am inexperienced so would prefer to avoid traditional mortar jointing due to the time and risk of staining.
I originally intended to use Geofix but have changed my mind after reading this forum.
I am currently favouring Romex or EasiJoint.
My main concern is the water permeability of the Romex product. I have a fall of 1:40 away from the house but am concerned theat water soaking into the joints will be a problem.
I would prefer to use Rompox Easy as I don't have any mechanical way of mixing the Rompox Patio. Is Rompox Patio any better than Rompox Easy.

Would it be advisable to apply a sealant after jointing to prevent ingress of water into the joints. If so how long after jointing should I apply the sealant.
Is a particular sealant recommended for this purpose.

Sorry for asking so mnay questions.

Water penetration of jointing on a patio is not a serious issue, particularly when the flags are laid on a full mortar bed, so no need to worry about that.

From a structural point of view, there's no significant difference between Patio and Easy: the difference is one of finished appearance, with the (usually more expensive) Patio flavour being used with pavings that are sensitive to resin, while Easy is your more generic, do-owt option.
