Hi,
I'm extending my paved area and am on the lookout for a
supplier that can supply more of the flags that have been
used in my garden for over 10 years.
Long-shot I know, but it's worth the post here to see if anyone
can give me a trade name for these flags and/or a supplier
that can supply them.
Not-very-exciting picture

Paving Picture

Many thanks in advance

Mungo Henning

Thanks for the feedback folks, but *why* would I want to post
a large picture to a forum?
I personally get pissed off if someone sends me megabyte
emails, hence for anything big I tend to put it on my web site
and then post a tiny message with a URL inside it instead.

Any ideas about the type of paving I have then?
Please?

Regards

Mungo :-)

Just thought a picture on the forum would help those who *might* not have the time or inclination to click on a link - oh well, next time I won't bother!

havent seen flags for a long time. maybe you could just use block paving that matches, you'd hardly notice, unless you post another pic

Looks like the kind of thing you get at B&Q or Wyevale, rather than a BM or landscaping supplies outlet.

As sean says, assuming the slabs are 400x400, use paver blocks in brindle. 20p each = £1.60 per slab equivalent.

Alternatively (unless you like the retro look) have it all up and replace with something else! ;)

It's a generic mould, which means it was made available to dozens of small manufacturers who then churned out flags in their own local colours using local aggregates. I think Longborough Concrete in Moreton-in-the-Marsh have summat similar in their current range.

Here's a more reasonable size of your original photie, given the Photohop treatment....

Could well be the old Supreme Concrete range - then bought out by Stoneflair called Modena Courtyard & the colour looks like it may well of been Antique Red. (like Tony says though - many suppliers had a version of this slab a few years ago)

This range is now discontinued but we still have stock left over in Antique Red. We purchased many artic loads a couple of years ago as the range was a good seller - somewhere between the cheap thin nasty slabs and the decorative ranges.

450 x 450 x 38mm thick

To have a look go to :-

www.bartonfields.co.uk
then to slabs section then to Stoneflair catergory there you will find the Courtyard range in 3 colours

The colour would obviously stand out for a while but will fade and weather

All the best Daniel
