Hello again - any chance you would know where to find Romex Easy i.e. DIY stockist, garden centres etc.?

You can ask at your local builders' merchant. There are no stockists at all in my area (Thames Valley) but Peppard Building Supplies can order it in.
What sort of paving are you doing?

I am also after ROMPOX, however given that to purchase mail order as suggested would cost about £57 a tub incl delivery, what are the alternatives that may be more readily available and less bank-breaking (unless anyone knows where I can get ROMPOX in Lincs/Notts)? Whilst GEOFIX seems to get a lukewarm review, are there others, eg anyone any experience of SEALOCRETE EASYFIX (I am building a suspicion that it may be ROMPOX under another name )?
PS Recent posts on e-bay selling basalt ROMPOX EASY at £20 + ~£10 P&P...unfortunately, I am not after basalt...damn!

Do not use geo-fix under any circumstances its pants.
sadly the law of business is that you cannot get a lot for a little so you have to pay for quality
what you pay extra in material for romex or gftk products you save in time and labour

Give Bannister Hall a ring.
I purchased 4 tins of Rompox Terrasse for £120 inc delivery, 4 bags of kiln dried sand from local BM @ £15, so £135 for the lot.
That should cover approx 40m2 depending on joint width and thickness.
All depends if you fancy mixing the sand and resin yourself or not.
One other thing, if you mix it yourself and you are placing on your own do it one tin/bag at a time, gives you a bit more freedom, otherwise you will have a brrow of hard stuff you cannot use (IMO)

Thanks 'Nelly' - top tip! 3 x tins of ROMPOX PATIO/TERRASSE Resin winging their way to me from Bannister Hall (01772 877087) as we speak for just over £90 incl. TERRASSE seems to now be referred to as PATIO (logically, "terrasse" would seem to translate to "patio"), although the ROMEX website lists ROMPOX PATIO as including the filler...confused? Yep!
As an aside, SEALOCRETE EASYFIX has apparently been discontinued since they were taken over by Bostik (despite being told about it by Bostik yesterday), who can however provide CEMENTONE WIDE JOINTING COMPOUND which seems to do much the same thing as ROMPOX, and should be able to be more widely sourced.
Anyway, off to find some nice kiln dried sand to mix it with!

Rejointed Patio last night. Mixed the resin with Hansons kiln dried sand (power mixing thingy essential), and set off repointing. A revelation! Dead easy and actually very satisfying - used a SWEEPA rubber broom (which has a squeegy incorporated) to do most of the work, which I recommend as it worked extremely well, and finished off with a light brushing with normal soft broom. Looks really fine this morning, although I am beginning to believe Tony McC when he says that the black/basalt jointing looks better!!
Only b*****ation factor was 2 nights raking out all the old knackered jointing which I hadn't done properly in first place, despite trying to follow best advice on these pages; after 18 months the joints had crumbled enough to be largely annihilated by my new toy - KARCHER pressure washer with the T-RACER patio cleaner. Another brilliant piece of kit, and it was a real joy to see the beauty of the stone shining through once again with such an immediate and stunning effect.
Having discovered ROMEX, I am now actually looking forward to doing the front path which will incorporate sandstone setts!
Just to thank Tony McC and all who contribute to what I regard as one of the best resources on the web, IMHO.
Now just waiting for the sun this weekend...never mind.
