I recently had a contractor install Natural Sandstone paving in my back garden. There are two areas of the patio which do not drain properly and after the majority of the patio is dry it usually takes a further 24 - 36 hours for the water in these low spots to dry.

Am I in my rights to get him to comeback and repair these two areas ?

How should I expect him to rectify these areas ? Lift the flags that are low, then reset them and then repoint ?

Thanks for your help

how big are the areas (post a pic)
if it is a large area yes they need lifting rebeding and pointing
but if it is just a hollow on 1 flag then its a natural product and that what you get but i only use the hollowed ones for cuts

I do not have a photo at the moment however both areas are approx 1.5 m2.

Sounds a bit big - that's a couple of slabs in each direction? May need lifting. What does the contractor say?

i would say 1.5 M2 is too big a dip,we all know how tough it is laying natural stone but at the most a natural dip should be no bigger than a flag say 900 by 600 max
a picture would be really handy
