Hi folks, This is my first post and some advice would be much appreciated.
I have recently had a small patio laid between the side of my house and an extension. The third side is against the garden fence.
The problem I can see is that at the adjoining house side it is only about 80mm from the DPC and very close to the airbrick.
My nieghbour said I should chop away some of the slabs that join to the house and make a channel filled with aggregate and topped of with decrotive pebbles.
Can anyone explain why I need to do this and more importantly why.
I can't find the search button so any advice greatly recieved.
Regards Derek
