Hi All

Layed an area of Indian Sandstone and got Romex to point with. All flags were layed on full bed and edges buttered.
My problem lies that some of the Sandstone flags were very thin, 15 to 20mm and therefore pointing depth is very shallow in some places.
Will i get away with it if i point at this depth. If not what are my options ?
Is it a case of 'trying' to remove mortar from joints with hammer/chisel? (which will prob take longer than the pointing itself.....also leving loads of debris/bits of broken mortar in the joint. Any sound advice guys.

Thanks.

As long as you can get 15mm depth, you should be OK. 25mm is the minimum recommended depth, but in exceptional circumstances, you can shave a bit off that. However, it really is much better to get 25mm (or more) depth whenever possible.
