We had a large patio (15m x 15m) layed by contrators 2 years ago using relativelty expensive Bradstone riven flagstones.
The drainage on the patio is generally good, but I am concerend by the high growth of moss in the joints. The moss is quite tall and really makes the patio look bad. If I attempt to pull the moss out, then the pointing - which appaers to be quite sandy and loose comes away with it.
I don't want to use a chemical as it may damage the lawn which is on 3 sides of the patio.
I am also concerend about the quality of the jointing.
I am a totally newbie to this and wondered if the jointing should be solid like cement or loose and sandy as it is ?
Thanks for any help you guys can provide.

Nope: it needs cutting out and replacing. See the Pointing and Jointing pages on the main website
