How to clean riven flags (cement stains)

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

I was wondering if some of you would know how can I clean my patio off cement stains on some of the flags (riven type).

It is Riven style flags from Marshalls

Thank you for the link, very informative indeed; what a great site.

I was going to try acid cleanining chemicals, but I will first try and wash with hot soapy water & brush with a steel brush before doing anything drastic.

The acid may change the colouring of those flagstones. If you do feel you need to resort to such measures, make sure you test a discrete area first, and leave it for 24-48 hours, as the effect is not always immediate.
