Hello, I wonder if you can help me, I have recently had my driveway extended and everyone that came to look recommended I had it done with tarmac.
So I got it done, I realise it is never going to match the existing tarmac, I left it several days as instructed and as soon as I started driving my car on it it started to sink under the front wheels - this was due I am told to power stearing, I only have a small car - not sure if that makes any difference.
The guy who did the job came back and dug out and put some more tarmac down - it looks much courser than the first lot, but I still think that this feels a bit soft and has now been done 5 days. I just wondered what you thought may be wrong? I feel as if I am never going to be able to drive my car on this tarmac without it denting. Many thanks.

Sounds like a cowboy job, I'm afraid.
Power steering might scuff the surface of fresh bitmac, but it should NOT cause the wheels to sink through the surfacing: only a bollix of a contractor can cause that.
The 'coarser' replacement macadam is probably a binder course material, and will NEVER look right with the rest of your driveway.
I do hope you haven't paid this scumbag.
