Hi, great site by the way. I'm about to patio 34m2 of patio with black slate slabs, different sizes and thicknesses. I've worked out I need approx 1.7cubc m of sand/cement mix. I've been advised to do a dry grout mix which I want to dye black. Looking at your ratio's of cement 5kg /sand 15kg /dye 400g section. How much dye would I need to buy and how much mix would I need to work on.

What size are the slates? How wide are the joints likely to be? What depth are the slates?
If you reveal this info, I have a calculator somewhere that works out how much jointing is required.
