I purchased a house with a large flagstone patio. The stones are set on a concrete slab and there are 3 problems:
1. In most places the mortar is basically the same color as the stones.
2. In many places the mortar is completely white.
3. There is mortar on many of the stones.
Questions:
1. Is it possible to dye mortar that is already in place?
2. Best way to remove the white from the mortar?
3. What is the best way to remove the mortar from the stones?
4. Any suggestions for differentiating the color of the mortar from the stones?
Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.
