We are looking to have the following work done:

New slabs on steps and platform at front door.
New slabs from door to pavement. 16sq m inc steps (above).
Creation of patio approx 14 sq m.
Removal of some old bedding walls, approx 20 sq m.
Laying of aggregate approx 90 sqm.

We have been quoted £1200 for the above, but with the new slabs and aggregate being laid over the old grey concrete slabs.

Or, we have been quoted £1600 to do the same, but to remove all of the old concrete slabs first.

This is labour only - this does not cover slabs, aggregate, sand, cement, skip hire, membrane (for under the aggregate to stop weeds).

Are these prices fair? Any advice/comments would be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

both prices seem fair to me,a little cheap if anything.
be careful not to have any flags laid higher than 150 mm below DPC
cheers LLL :)
