Hi all,

I'm looking for some advice on gravel sealant if such a thing exists.

Around 18 months ago we had our back garden landscaped to our design, using Marshalls decking effect paving stones for patio areas and the wood effect sleepers to create path ways and on edge for grass edgings. The sleepers that were laid as as a path had gaps of around 10" between them like sleepers would have. All these gaps were filled with loose decorative gravel.

This looks really nice, but as it get walked on, gravel ends up on the sleepers, in the grass etc.

The landscaper said he had heard of a spray on sealant to keep the gravel together, but had no details on it, and I can't seem to find a similar product. I can find the resin-bonded gravel systems, but these would be a fairly intense job removing all the gravel to have it relaid again.

Any advice on what would be best to do would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Mark

There is no effective spray-on sealant for gravel.

You either learn to live with the loose gravel, or you replace it with summat less loose.
