I would like to lay a drive using Sonemarket's Millstone Flags. Now I know they are not made with drives in mind but they are fairly thick at 45mm.

What sub-base would you recommend? So far I have dug out about 150mm, maybe a little over, is this enough?

What should I use, compacted dtp1 or a concrete slab?

Is there anyone who has had experience laying these on a drive?

Thanks in advance.

i would lay them on 100-150 mm of type one then a full bed of semidry concrete mix, the full bed for them should dtop them from breaking etc. others can confirm etc...

Thanks for your answer Mark, much appreciated.

For the semi-dry mix would you recommend a coarse mix (i.e. 6 Small Gravel, 4 Grit sand and 1 cement)?

Or just a mix of Grit sand and cement? (10 grit sand, 1 cement)

Thanks again,

Bruno
