I did a Patio about 4 years back with Indian Sandstone and it is great. I am now thinking of using the same material for creatinga new driveway in the front of the house to park my car.

What I am not sure about is if Indian Snadstone is a good material for the purpose. Will it take the weight of the car or it will all crack? Will it have lots of tyre marks?

Has anyone done it? I would be interetsted to hear your experiences.

Thanks

I personally feel indian sandstone is best suited to patios. This has been covered previously on the brew cabin though, with a few suggestions. here

i did one in july but i personally selected all the stone to be at least 40mm thick, also we laid 150 of crushed concrete/mot and 100mm of wet concrete mix
also i only used 900by 600,600 by 600 and 600 by 300
everything seems ok ,but i have to say my heart said yes but my head said no,
full wet mix is a must for this type of application plus selecting the flags
cheers tony LLL :)
