I need to design my front garden. the grass been stripped and I have ordered some turf.
according to my design I need some paving done that would lead to the main door.

I am confused. I have seen these pictures and really love the colours and patterns but I have no idea what these are called or where i can get them. I have also called the company but my requirements are small compared to what they do.
can anyone help?
where can i get these pavings?
why do they shine? are they made like this or they have been polished?
what are they called?
pictures below.

the images show p.i.c. (Pattern imprinted concrete). a concrete slab is poured then the pattern is imprinted into the concrete to give the pattern. the shiny look is the p.i.c. sealent, see.http://www.pavingexpert.com/pic01.htm

Phone up one of these companies (they supply thhe materials needed) and ask for a recommended contractor for your area.

Elitecrete, Stockport, Cheshire - www.elitecrete.co.uk
PICS, Newbury, Berkshire - www.picsuk.com
Creative Impressions, Preston, Lancashire www.creative-impressions.com
Britannica Industires, Elstree, Herts - www.bomanite.co.uk
Lafarge Artevia, Sheffield, Yorks - www.lafarge.co.uk
Replipave, Preston, Lancashire - www.aquapolymers.co.uk

Lafarge and Bomanite are two huge global companies. You can get the reassurance of a big organisation behind you by using them but their approved contractors may be more expensive. PICS has a good reputation too. Elitecrete ius big in the USA but I don't know if they have many approved UK contractors.
