Hi Guys

Just after some info, whats the best thing to cut natural sandstone? I have a hand held grinder. Can i do it with that? I have tried to cut it before with a stone cutting blade but it was very tough stuff. Any suggestions?

Thanks

depends on how many flags etc you need to cut and the size of the grinder your using, if your goin to be doing many cuts and the grinder youve got is of a good size then buy a dimond tipped blade, will outlast an abrasive blade many many times, bit more expensive at first but costs more on the long run and the cuts will be neat.

splitters can also be used but not so good if youve got riven flags with the uneven surface.

if you grinders not big enough for the job then you can hire a cut off saw or grinder for the wkend and just leave all your cuts to the end and do them all at once saving you from hiring out the tool more than once

cheers, Mark
