I am wanting to install 4 of the floor mounted walk over halogen uplighters into my Indian paving patio, with a diameter of about 105mm. Can you tell me how best I should cut the circle so that the light fits perfectly into the hole, with just the lip over the top of the slab?

Thanks

Hire a core drill is the best option. Failing that, you could try stitch drilling and hope that the fitting flange covers the messy edge.

Hi again Tony, long time no hear!
Just to add my bit to this topic, use a diamond core bit with LOADS of water as the stone is so hard. Set the rotation to fairly slow as well and LOADS of patience!!

All the best................Riggers

there is a lot of work doing these uplighters with necessary drainage, armoured cable etc,my advice would be to find some square lights ,the holes take ages to core even with water.
either that or try a 4" diamond cutter and do loads of straight lines on the reverse of the slab
depends on the light flange of course
hope this helps tony
