I just moved into a newly built house. When I started to lay new flooring on top of a concrete floor/slab in the ground floor living room. The middle of the floor had a bump/projection. After consulting the builder he advised it was no problem and he would fix it.

He is off on holiday now and will fix it on his return. Having just bought the house I am concerned. I am just wondering what can he do, break out the uneven bit and patch it up, re-level it??

Advice on what to check and ask would be greatly appreciated.

The builder might grind the concreete down to level with a grinder, rather than bracking out a section and re-leveling. All depending on how big the bump is.
