Hi,
Firstly, this is an excellent site! Thanks for all your work.
I'm planning a patio that will be close to the corner of our house. I intended to use a narrow splash strip to help with the problems of downpipes and cables, paving round a corner and blending the colour of light grey slabs against red bricks. But I read on another post that you disapprove of splash strips. How, then, do I best deal with paving around downpipes? And as I plan to butt joint slabs, how do I finish the edge against the house. Is butt jointing OK in this case? I'm using Bradstone textured 450x 450 paving.
Hope my questions don't show me up too much as a rookie.
Thanks,
Adam
