I wonder if anyone can advise me what to do.
I intend to lay some reclaimed 450mm sq slabs onto part of my back garden that is an ageing concrete hardstanding. It shows some signs of cracks and I am not sure how deep the sub base is on it. I want then to site my shed on the slabs.
Is this advisable and how do I cope with the slight slope on the concrete (i.e. it is not level).
Would I be better digging up the old concrete base and using it as a sub for the slabs - or perhaps pouring a new base from concrete (cutting out the area in the existing concrete).
I am anxious to save time and effort - and also I need to know if a 10:1 semi dry is suitable. I am complete novice when it comes to paving and concrete mixing (most I've done is postmix)!
