Hi,
ive been asked to do a job to lay a large patio in a random pattern. The clients have selected the slabs and want the following sizes used

300 x 300
450 x 450
600 x 600
300 x 600
600 x 450
450 x 300

which i dont have a problem with. they do however want the following two sizes used
675 x 450
225 x 450

As the top lot of slabs are based on 150 modules they will all fit together easily enough, however the bottom two sizes are not and im not sure they can be laid with the other slabs, without causing a lot of problems and a lot of cutting.

Any views?

The 675x450 and 225x450 work well with the 450x450, but as for using them with ALL the other sizes - WHY? If they want ALL sizes used give them some graph paper and ask them to draw out the Random Layout they would like. Maybe then it will be the 3 sizes only.

I regularly incorporate 675s and 225s into my random layouts. You need to use two of them to get back to a 150 module, but it's fairly easy to do, once you understand the trick. :D
