Setts and cobbles, tarmac, asphalt, resin systems, concrete whether it's plain, patterned or stencilled, gravels, etc.

Being a complete novice in patio laying, can you tell me the disadvantages of laying patio slabs in winter, i.e. now with the weather still around the freezing mark?

Many thanks.

With the temperature around or below freezing the strength of your cement can be seriously compromised if the frost gets to it. For best results leave it for another month.

Also, frozen ground expands, and the deeper the frost, the greater the expansion. When the thaw comes, the ground subsides again, taking your pavement with it.
