HI AGAIN
iam planing to do a job that involves sinking indian flag stone slabs into a lawn to create a path . i am going to dig out the grass so that each flag will sink in to the grass should i just lay the flag on a 10/1 cement mix or will i have to put in some sort of haunching for the sides of it . or will the grass be enough of a retainer.
cheers bob the builder. ???

10:1 mix is fine. Using a moist mix, bash the slabs in so a smidge flows out and up the sides helping to lock all in place. Grass in itself is not much of a retainer. But you can't go far wrong with this one.
