Driveway advice needed

Patio flagstones (slabs), concrete flags, stone flags including yorkstone and imported flagstones.

ok everybody here goes. I plan to lay a slab drive in my back garden leading into my garage.

does this sound al lok to you.

type 1 of 100mm thick
bedding sand 50 mm thick
with slabs on top 600x600x50

will i need anything else for the base. I plan to dig down approx 1ft maybe. around 10 ins down in my garden i hit clay.

Lay 'em on 100mm of concrete - I thought there was a drawing somewhere on the site for a flagged driveway, but it's not where I thought it was. I'll dig out one of my old cross-section in t'morning and post it some time tomorrow.

i can't be bopthered with the concrete route as i am above a gas pipe and if they ever needed access then the full lot will be ripped up. At least if slabs they can lift certain slabs and remove the type 1 etc
