Hi

I have a professionally laid driveway sub-base which is topped with gravel.

I have decided to lay 2 runs of 3 by 2 "council slabs" from the street to the garage, a total of 48 slabs.

I will be very grateful if someone can tell me what is the best way to bed them down. Initially I was thinking of a dry mix or just sand, but as the runs will be only one slab wide I guess that sand will be pushed out !.

Any advise will be appreciated.

10:1 mix of grit sand with cement, semi-dry. Allow the bedding to come up the sides by 25mm or so in order that the flags are held in place and can't slip sideways.
