I am a reluctant diy'er but my wife wants edging slabs laid against a newly installed path of paving slabs. The path was part of a big job I had done including a slabbed patio. I bought 36 - 2ft x 6in x 2in edging slabs thinking I would be able to do the work myself but seeing the drawing showing "concrete bedding and haunch" for edgings I'm now not so sure.
Is there an easy way for an amateur ? There won't be any weight against the edging as it is against a level shrub border.

As this is only alight-use residential path, you copuld get away with just 50mm of bedding and 100mm of haunching, so your trench need be only 200mm deep and 150mm wide.
