I have just completed renovating the garage and have laid 2'x2'x2" concrete slabs on the floor. I inadvertently came across acid staining in the USA (via the internet) and was impressed by the results and would like to acid stain my concrete slabs as a DIY project. I believe I know all the pitfalls, inconsistent colouring between the slabs etc, but I don't mind this and wonder if you know of any UK firm whom I could approach for small amounts of this form of product. Incidentally, the 'garage' is to become a studio and will not see a motor vehicle. I've seen 'Dyebrick' but their results are too consistent. Hope you will be able to help.

However, the few attempts at acid-staining pre-cast flags that I've seen have been bloody disastrous, to put it bluntly. The concrete may not be the right sort of mix; they may be too well-cured; or it might be some other, as yet unknown factor, but I've been seriously unimpressed, so far.

...but Dyebrick isn't suitable for pavings! Even their website admits it!
