Many many thanks to Tony et al who helped with advice and comments during my recent patio paving excercise.
Never having done this before, I didn't know the front end of a flag from the back end of a ton of sand. However, having asked a million questions, I jumped in, and the result is pretty satisfying if I say so myself.
I not only laid them (17 square metres of Marshall's Heritage) but I also pointed them, and built steps up to the french door as well.
My advice to anyone thinking of doing this is to research everything on this site, pick Tony's brain, definitely hire a mixer and a Sthil saw (I think that's spelled wrong), do the pointing as shown on here without bothering with a fancy or dry mix, and go for it. Many thanks again, and I'm even looking forward to the next project. Trust me, if I can do it, anyone can.
Thanks to everyone - Ask and you shall receive

I'm going to try and get some photos, if i can work out how to do this new fangled digital stuff.
Obviously the photos may make it look not quite as good as I've said it is!!!! However, thats probably depth of field rather than me exagerating how good it is.
Many thanks again, and Ill see what I can get.
